Panajachel Guatamala

Panajachel is a town in the Guatemalan highlands, west of Guatemala City. It’s located on the north shore of Lake Atitlán. The lake is surrounded by the San Pedro, Tolimán and Atitlán volcanoes. Calle Santander is the main street and is lined with cafés, bars and stalls selling handicrafts and textiles. In the old town, you’ll find the Church of San Francisco, built in colonial style with a stone façade. Boats connect Panajachel with the Mayan villages around the lake.
